Opened in 1829 as part of the controversial movement to change the behavior of inmates through "containment in solitude with labor," Eastern State Penitentiary quickly became one of the most expensive buildings in the young United States. Some of America's most notorious criminals were held in the Penitentiary's vaulted sky-lit cells, including notorious robber Willie Sutton and Al Capone.
After the tour, you're off to a 3-course dinner at the Spaghetti Warehouse. Choose (table-side) from spaghetti with meatballs, lasagna, four cheese manicotti, fettuccini Alfredo or grilled chicken Caesar salad.
