A Philadelphia Christmas Carol
Enjoy Philadelphia at holiday time as a character from the beloved "A Christmas Carol" . with experiences from Christmas Past, Present and Future.

Christmas Past begins with a guided tour of the Powel House in Historic Philadelphia.  Samuel Powel was the mayor of Philadelphia during the time of the Revolution and entertained such notables as the Washingtons, Benjamin Franklin, John Adams and the Marquis de Lafayette.

Next, visit Santa Through the Ages, a display of six life-like Santas each depicting a different cultural tradition or historic tale. The captivating replicas of Santa include German Kris Kringle; eleventh-century Russian St. Nicholas; France's Pere Noel; England's patron of gift-giving - Victorian Father Christmas; twelfth-century Medieval Santa; and Old Man Christmas, a native of Finland.

Christmas Present includes a trip to the Macy's Christmas Light Show, a tradition for generations, and a visit to a custom soap maker including a peek into the master savonniere's kitchen . and time to pick up a unique gift.

Christmas Future is represented by the Comcast Experience HD Video Wall, the largest four-millimeter LED screen in the world.  Spanning 83.3 feet wide by 25.4 feet high, the 2,100 square-foot video wall brings the sights and sounds of the season to life.

The tour will end at Philadelphia's Holiday Village, an authentic German Christmas Market.  More than 50 vendors will sell traditional European food, sweets and drinks as well as international holiday gifts, ornaments, jewelry and high-quality arts and crafts.

This unique atmosphere with thousands of lights, the big Holiday Tree, the delicious smell of waffles, gingerbread, bratwurst and mulled wine will bring everyone into the perfect Christmas mood.
