Learn why Philadelphia has been called “the mural capital of the world” as well as the 1% for art program that helps adorn Philadelphia with public art – from fountains, murals, mobiles, gardens, sculpture and architectural details.

Special to this tour will be a [exterior] visit to Philadelphia’s Magic Gardens, an immersive mixed media art environment that is completely covered with mosaics and a peek inside of the Kimmel Center for the Performing Arts, a dazzling regional performing artscenter whose discreet brick exterior rises to a bold 150-foot glass vaulted glass rooftop.

It’s an amazing opportunity to get a close up look at how the public landscape has been beautified for both the citizens and visitors alike over the years.
