As the First "planned city" in North America, Philadelphia has many firsts . as well as many "biggest, best and only" sites and attractions.  Join us for this 4-hour journey through the city and learn about:

§         The first bell ever cast in this country (the Liberty Bell), first daily paper published in the United States, first hospital, "First President" (and we don't mean George!), First Bank, first US flag, first Mother's Day celebration, first Thanksgiving Day parade, largest landscaped municipal park in the world, first modern skyscraper, largest working musical instrument and so much more!

§         Tour includes the following off-coach opportunities: a visit to the Liberty Bell Center, photo opportunity at Elfreth's Alley and a tour of the Betsy Ross House

§         First U.S. fire insurance policy issued, first American life insurance company incorporated, first U.S. life insurance policy issued

§         After a series of meetings in Independence Hall, a group of prominent citizens form the Insurance Company of North America (today's CIGNA) in 1792.

§         Tour includes a visit to the Philadelphia Contributionship (the oldest fire insurance company in the U.S.) Museum's fascinating collection of fire insurance memorabilia; drive-by tour of several historic sites insured by the Philadelphia Contributionship as well as the former site of INA and the present site of CIGNA corporate headquarters.
