Medical Marvels
Monday, October 19        9:00AM - 1:00PM

This fully guided tour via deluxe coach transportation explores Philadelphia's Medical Marvels.  We'll begin with a tour of Pennsylvania Hospital, the nation's first hospital founded in 1751, 25 years before the American Revolution.  We'll see such things as the 1817 Benjamin West painting "Christ Healing the Sick in the Temple," the historical library, begun in 1762 and once designated by the AMA as the country's most important medical library, and the oldest existing surgical amphitheatre in North America, opened in 1804.
